I have been consistently inconsistent with my writing this month. Though I did a whole lot of it in my mind. With so much happening, there was so much to write about – but alas! no time whatsoever.
I am not entirely sure what has kept me away..lot of sessions (touchwood!), some amount of teaching and learning, editing the book, a whole lot of homely chores, Diwali preparations and finally, Diwali itself. The house looked beautiful yesterday, adorned with flowers, diyas and incense. Parents and sister had all visited on Monday, so there was nothing lined up for Tuesday. Spring cleaned the house to begin with, then an elaborate Punjabi meal and a whole lot of decorations..The blessed garden gave us an opportunity to enjoy some of the cold air, before it was all too polluted to inhale. Nice, quiet affair.
The first colour dummy of the book is also in my hands today and it feels nice. Of course, the printer did not stick the pages together or even bother to cut them to size, given that it is Vishwakarma puja today ( hope I got that word right)..nevertheless! i have baked almost every other day this month with a whole range, fit enough to fill in a bakery. Coffee, rum, apple – you name it. Also a time of internal realignments, changes and lots of thinking through. No action..only thinking.. 😦
